I started Best Robotic Lawn Mower after realizing that the gap between a mower's spec sheet and the way it actually behaves in a real yard is enormous. A mower rated for an acre can still struggle on a half-acre yard if that yard has hills, trees and a narrow side passage.

So I research the machines — manufacturer documentation, specification sheets, support docs, retail listings and owner experiences — and write about where each one makes sense and where it doesn't. No invented ratings, no fake review scores, no made-up awards.

Where a mower has been physically tested, that's labeled a Hands-On Review. Where it hasn't — which is most of them — it's labeled a Research Review. The difference is stated plainly.
